In this high-level dialogue, National and local government leaders exchange on opportunities and ways forward to design, finance and implement people-centred energy futures. It showcases policies and measures to successfully integrate urban and energy planning, enhance data accessibility, support community-led initiatives and engagement, increase financing flows, establish benefit-sharing mechanisms for clean energy access and tackle energy poverty.
Examples of successful innovation partnerships with private sector and financial institutions will be highlighted, and demonstrate both current impact and potential at scale of these collaborations to help stay the course set by the Paris Agreement.
