Opportunity for Local Governments to Showcase Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Projects
Local and regional governments worldwide are being invited to participate in the Transformative Actions Program (TAP). TAP serves as a one-stop interface for subnational governments and local businesses to submit their sustainable infrastructure projects, which are then supported by the various Project Preparation Facilities. TAP helps turn ideas that promise a high transformative impact into solid and investment-ready projects, providing personalized support at every stage of their implementation journey. Through capacity-building, knowledge sharing, and access to financing, TAP ensures projects of all sizes and stages can receive guidance and explore funding options tailored to their needs and circumstances.
The primary objective of TAP is to provide technical assistance support and access to sustainable finance. TAP elevates local governments’ sustainable urban infrastructure projects and facilitate connections with potential investors and project preparation facilities. Through customized feedback, tools, and services, TAP aims to assist municipalities in preparing their projects to be robust, mature, and bankable, thus accelerating their journey towards implementation.
The Call for Applications 2024 is officially open since March 1st
In June 2024, we will hold the TAP Marketplace during the ICLEI World Congress in São Paulo, Brazil. This in-person marketplace aims to mobilize and connect international financiers, project preparation facility providers and Urban Transitions Mission cities. During the marketplace, project preparation and financing opportunities will be presented and selected cities will have the opportunity to pitch their project idea for a jury composed of financial experts.
Interested local and regional governments are encouraged to apply to TAP by April 22nd, 2024, to be eligible for consideration for the TAP Marketplace. Successful applicants will have the chance to present their projects during the event.
