“Cities on the Move! Driving the innovative transition of urban mobility” UTM and DUT Launch Spring 2026 Urban Mobility Webinar Series

The Urban Transition Mission (UTM) and the transnational R&I funding platform Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) are co-organizing a webinar series titled Cities on the move! Driving the innovative transition of urban mobility. This series aims to be a vital platform for discussion and exchange, offering city representatives and urban mobility experts practical, replicable solutions to shape the future of their communities.

Cities are epicentres for economic, societal and cultural change, where global trends and policies materialise at the local level. As a result, city administrations worldwide must continuously anticipate, respond to and adapt to these dynamics, often needing to reflect and improve how they deal with uncertain developments.

Urban mobility is one such area of ever-evolving transformation, where diverse and often competing flows of movement intersect daily at scale – motorised traffic with pedestrians and cyclists, private vehicles merging with public transport, serving personal needs alongside commercial logistics and public services.

This four-part series beginning 26 February 2026 will focus on how cities can leverage innovative policies and advanced technologies—especially AI-supported, digital, data-driven, and IoT-infrastructural solutions—to achieve net-zero, resilient, and human-centred urban transitions.

Webinar schedule:
The series consists of four themed webinars, each scheduled for 13:30–15:00 CET/UTC+1 (note the time difference for the last session due to daylight savings):
